The Shatta Wale – Stonebwoy peace press conference which officially marked an end to their long-time feud has sparked yet another controversy.
This time, it is not between the two (2) Ghanaian reggae/dancehall acts but RuffTown Record‘s Wendy Shay and Burniton Music Group‘s Kelvyn Boy.
The ‘Ginger’ crooner snubbed the ‘Stevie Wonder’ hitmaker at the press conference which has marred the beauty of the event, to some extent.
After the presser, Kelvyn Boy was called on stage to join among others, the two musicians, and Wendy Shay who has been instrumental prior to the day for a photoshoot.
When the ‘Coffee’ singer assumed stage, he engaged in handshakes and hugs with everyone but ignored Wendy Shay who had opened her arms, to obviously hug the afropop/dancehall act. However, for a reason better known to himself, Kelvyn Boy ignored her — he moved on to Shatta Wale, and hugged him, following a handshake with Wendy‘s manager Bullet.
It is not clear whether the act was intentional or not; however, many social media users have condemned Kelvyn Boy for that unfortunate incident while others mock the situation at hand, generally.
Kelvyn Boy and Wendy Shay were nominated in the VGMA 2019 ‘New Artiste of the Year’ category which saw the ‘Bedroom Commando’ himaker win.
