CAF President Ahmad Ahmad Arrested in France

The president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Ahmad Ahmad has been arrested in Paris, France.

According to Jeune Afrique, he allegedly the broke contract with a German equipment manufacturer & gave contract to Technical Steel who paid him a hefty sum.

Ahmad succeeded Issa Hayatou in March 2017 and has overseen a remarkable number of scandals.

Foot Afrique is also reporting that the French authorities have applied for a search warrant of the CAF headquarters in Cairo.

Ahmad’s arrest has been confirmed by FIFA but the world football governing body says it “is unaware of the details surrounding his investigation and is therefore not in a position to make any comment on it specifically.”
