Kwame Sefa-Kayi: I Feared for My Life During VGMA Stage Brawl

Kwame Sefa-Kayi, the host of the recently-held Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2019 has revealed how he was thrown into panic during the stage brouhaha.

According to the ace broadcaster, he had to run for his  life because it eventually got out of hand at a point.

“I came with my wife to enjoy the show. Young girls and boys present, Ministers of state there, British High Commissioner in attendance and you come up together with Berla Mundi as MCs for the show which was going on well and something happens and guns are pulled, you for look sharp”, he made this revelation in an interview with Captain Smart on Accra-based Adom FM.

Explaining why he feared for his life, he noted that anything could have happened.

“I was frightened by happenings because it could have been anything,” he said.

“It could have turned into something very unpleasant especially when the free for all fight started on the stage. But for the timely intervention of the security and the few spirited individuals who remained calm, there would have been recorded deaths,” he added.

Affectionately called KSK or Chairman-General he has also called on Authorities to revoke the arms license of Stonebwoy because he is not emotionally strong to wield the weapon.
