Former Beauty Queens to be Dragged to Court
Inna Patty, the CEO of Exclusive Events Ghana, organisers of the Miss Ghana beauty pageant has stated that her company is in the process of taking legal actions against former of the former beauty queens.
Speaking at the launch of Miss Ghana 2018 beauty pageant at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra on Thursday, she noted that these allegations are false.
Her comments come after five (5) former beauty queens leveled serious scandals; significant among them is sexual favour for sponsorship from some big men in the country.
They include Stephanie Karikari (Miss Ghana 2010), Giuseppina Nana Akua Baafi (Miss Ghana 2013) and Antoinette Delali Kemavor (Miss Ghana 2015) and Margaret Dery (Miss Ghana 2017).
According to Inna, they must prove, by bringing out the list of the supposed big men whom the company sent these beauty queens to, for favours.
“Whoever alleges must prove. The queens have said we sent them out to big men for sexual favors; before they sponsor. So we would be more than happy, prove to us, bring the list,” she said.
“We would be happy to join you to the right security agents to let the right thing be done. Until then, our hands are tied. Nonetheless, based on those allegations, we have taken a legal action and it’s in process,” she added.
Margaret Dery, the latest among the five (5) former beauty queens to have raised these allegations said noted on the same day of the 2018 edition that she only survived on Ghc500 as a queen, and did not get her promised car.
