The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has been dissolved by the Government of Ghana following an undercover investigative report into Ghana football which saw officials in acts of corruption and other malpractices.
A statement dated Thursday, June 7, 2018 which was signed by the Minister of Information Hon. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid and copied to eFocusLive.com, reads the government is “shocked and outraged” at the rot within the GFA.
The country’s football governing body was dissolved as a result of the widespread nature of the rot as government seeks to undertake necessary reforms to sanitize football administration in the country.
In the documentary, GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi was allegedly captured on camera negotiating with undercover reporters who posed as investors in order to help secure for them , government of Ghana contract.
