The Mayor of Tamale, Hon Iddrisu Musah Superior has tagged Fancy Gadam’s talent as waste and a threat to the people of Tamale.

His comment follows the gory motor accident in Tamale on Friday, June 29 which saw at least the demise of eight (8) persons including his fans and two (2) Zylofon Media staff.

According to the Metropolitan Chief who believes the ‘Yaka Chana’ singer is the cause of the unfortunate accident added that he won’t be allowed to wield innocent souls as objects of sacrifice.

“The talent of this young man is a danger to the people of Tamale. Why do you want to mobilise young [innocent] people on the streets just because you want to make profits. You want to use the blood of the people to make money? We won’t tolerate that,” Hon Iddrisu said.

“I have banned all musical concerts at the stadium. No more musical concerts till further notice,” he added.

He also revealed that he has cautioned Fancy Gadam, real name Mujahid Ahmed Bello and his team but all efforts have proved futile.

“He was not coming to pay a courtesy call to my discipline chief. No, they were all over the street, blocked the street — a lot of indiscipline on the street. He is not the only musician in the world, there is no way in this world that you will see chaos.”

“Why would Fancy Gadam do that? Such an irresponsible lawless young man — full of talent is waste and a danger to the people of Tamale,” he added.

Fancy Gadam was preparing for his concert with Nigeria’s Patoranking in Tamale, precisely the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Saturday, June 30 when the accident occurred.
