Sarkodie receives Ghana Job Bank Initiative Honour

Celebrated Ghanaian Sarkodie, real name Michael Owusu Addo has been honoured at the launch of the Ghana Job Bank Initiative held in Accra, Ghana.

The reigning VGMA 2018 Rapper of the Year was honoured for carving an enviable image for himself as a renowned musician, which has also had a positive influence on many youth in Ghana and also promoting cultural tourism with his unique music.

He was also honoured “for setting an incredible standard as an artiste for potential young musicians to follow and make a living otu of music,” his citation read.

The likes of Ibrahim Mahama , Kennedy Agyapong , Osei Kwame Despite, and Dr. Ofori Sarpong were also honoured.

The Ghana Job Bank Initiative was founded by Richard Ofori-Atta, an entrepreneur and co-founder Godwin Attiga, who is a US-based Ghanaian inventor and Cyber Security Analyst.

Based on two (2) modules, the Ghana Job Bank Initiative seeks to provide entrepreneurial skills and provide an opportunity for an internship.

The modules, Business Incubator and Smart Youth Programme would offer training in software engineering, digital skills, cyber security and open data platform to the youth free of charge.
