Patapaa wants to be called Patapeezy

Patapaa, popular Ghanaian afrobeats musician has revealed a change of his stage name days after his first trip to Europe.

In a video available to eFocusLive.com, the ‘One Corner’ hitmaker is seen and heard eulogizing Ghanaian comedian Funny Face for giving him the name after VGMA 2018 and also connecting him to footballer Emmanuel Adebayor.

“Funny Face hyped and also gave me a new name, Patapeezy. I left the name Patapaa in South Africa; no one should call me Patapaa again — I’m not Patapaa; call me Patapeezy, else I’ll take you to court. We have changed the name Patapaa, and now it is Patapeezy,” he noted.

The musician also revealed that he is currently incomparable, so far as music in Ghana is concerned.

“No artiste in Ghana can compare himself to me at the moment,” he claimed.

Patapaa also threw a jab at Fancy Gadam, the musician who beat him to win the VGMA 2018 ‘Song of the Year’.

“Where are those who won the award now, they have faded into thin air,” Patapaa said.

This comment comes after Adebayor, who is a very good friend of the Ghanaian comedian revealed that he will stock his wardrobe with original Dolce & Gabanna suit.

“Let them talk, don’t mind them next show… next award you will go there with Dolce & Gabbana suit. I will send them from Italy and take your measurement in Ghana,” Adebayor said in a video.
