Yesterday, eFocusLive.com broke the news that H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called on the CID of the Ghana Police Service for the arrest of GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi for defrauding under false pretense and influence peddling.

This was greeted, generally with jollity among many football lovers, and most especially people who have followed the activities of Ghana’s football governing body for some time now.

Among these people were former UK High Commissioner to Ghana Jon Benjamin, who reacted to story in a very sarcastic manner.

The diplomat, 55, who was initially shocked upon getting to know about the story tweeted: “We need a consignment of Obinim stickers sent over to Morocco urgently please, by whichever route is most coefficient. Thank you.”

The GFA boss’ alleged fraudulent act comes after the President Akufo-Addo watched excerpts of a yet-to-be screened expose titled ‘Number 12’ by celebrated Ghanaian investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

In a related development, the Kwesi Nyantakyi is expected to fly back to Ghana today, following the call for his arrest.

Jon Benjamin served as the British High Commissioner to Ghana between May 2014 to June 2017.
